1947 Lincoln Continental Cabriolet V 12. Originally owned by HE Zahir Shah, Ex-King of Afghanistan. In my ownership since 1994.
Lincoln’s sales efforts in 1947 paled next to Cadillac, Ford’s luxury brand mired in 18th place on the charts, narrowly besting Crosley’s results, and moving only about a third of the quantity GM’s luxury brand managed to do. Among the Lincoln production, just 1,569 Continentals—Coupes and Convertible Cabriolets combined—were produced, making them quite rare among contemporary collectibles.
