1965 Alfa Romeo GTA, this car was designed originally by Giorgetto Giugiaro while at Bertone. His first design. He later designed the Golf, Scirocco, the Uno, the Panda, and many many exotic and utalitarian cars. This design is considered his most beautiful.
It was imported to Pakistan in 1965 and was originally a left hand drive car. When it was undergoing a complete restoration it was decided to convert it to RHD with the necessary parts sourced form the UK and had the following modifications…Its an Alfaholics GTAr replica as near as one can make it. Alfa Twinspark engine 150 bhp approximately from an Alfa 75. Alfaholics stainless steel exhaust Alfaholics fast road suspension B, Alfaholics Limited slip differential( fast road not race) 15 inch, Alfaholics aluminium alloy wheels, Farroad semi slick competition 195/50 15 tires, Air conditioning, Locally source tan leather for seats from a later model 2000 GT105 bertone coupe. Half Roll cage, Rear seat delete with helmet compartments lined with leather. ( This has in the excess of 30000 pounds spent on just the parts as there was nothing in the car…not even the glass which was also imported brand new). Much of this was done as I had recently foolishly parted with my 1750GTV and Porsche 911 targa and I was in severe withdrawal and wanted to make a point. 1965 Alfa Romeo GTA.
